Top 10 games of the last decade (2000-2009)

It’s been a great decade for games and here are my top 10 favourites from the last 10 years.

10. Halo 3

Platform : Xbox 360

Info: Final part of the Halo trilogy, interstellar war between 26th century humanity and the Covenant. You play as Master chief as a super-solider in this ongoing space war. It is a First person shooter and is regarded as one of the best in the online multiplayer arena.
Why I like it: Because it’s easy to pick up, but still a game that you can learn to master, a easy fun online multiplayer with plenty of online players and easy to use with plenty of options. A nice and good change from the mass market appeal of World war 2 shooters.

9. Boom Blox

Why I like it: Mario is back to his classic style , whilst adding new ideas. A reminder to my favourite game of all time, super Mario world on the Super Nintendo. This game shows that a old retro style can still create one of Mario Finest adventures so far, but now friends can help aswell.

7. Wario Ware

Platform: Gameboy Advance
Year: EU: May 23, 2003
Info: Wario ware started the mini-game craze and is till the best in the business. A game full of short mini games lasting only seconds.
Why I like it: It is true madness and a blast to play. It never loses it’s a appeal and is still the best in mini game compilation. Always copied but never as good as Wario does it.

6. Gears of War 2

Platform: Xbox 360
Year: November 7, 2008
Info: The war against the locust continues for Marcus Fenix and the gang. As they go in search of Dom’s wife and a way to elimates the locust for good.

Info: Mario and the gang return for more kart racing, but now with the ability of having 2 people in a kart and the first Mario kart game to have various karts to chose from.
Why I like it: The 2 people per Kart and all new tracks and weapons make this my favourite Mario kart game of them all. Some of the best karts and tracks started their life in this game. “Team up for twice the fun!” , was true.

1. Super Mario Galaxy
